Maldaba are delighted to announce we are now part of the Digital Health.London Accelerator. We are one of the companies in cohort 2 of the Accelerator, which was announced on September the 7th, 2017.

Maldaba were selected as one of the successful 30 out of 127 applications, because of our project My Health Guide, providing service change and digital technology to empower people with learning disabilities to be more in control of their healthcare.

My Health Guide has already had a striking impact at Humber NHS Trust, who provided invaluable input during the project’s creation and are the first NHS Trust to use My Health Guide, signing-up to a 3-year contract to embed My Health Guide in Humber Trust’s service deliver for people with learning disabilities. Our analysis of data from our 12 month trial with Humber Trust and 200 service users demonstrates high rates of user satisfaction (more than 80%) combined with a reduction in service utilisation of 30%.

Watch Maldaba Director Lorenzo Gordon’s 60-second pitch at the Digital Health.London Accelerator launch of cohort 2 earlier in September:

As a London-based company, founded and run by two born-and-bred Londoners, Maldaba are excited about our inclusion in the Digital Health.London Accelerator and the opportunities this year will provide to increase uptake of our technology in the London region.

Lorenzo Gordon, one of Maldaba’s founding directors, said “Our inclusion in the Digital Health.London Accelerator is a welcome validation for the My Health Guide project. We’re very proud of our work with Humber NHS Trust and look forward to working with the NHS in the London area.”

Hannah Harniess, Programme Director, DigitalHealth.London Accelerator comments: “The 21st Century NHS faces unprecedented challenges. Better use of technology is crucial to creating a health system fit for the future and the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme is pioneering in bridging the gap between high-calibre digital health innovations and the health system. We are hugely excited to welcome our second cohort of digital innovations to the programme and look forward to connecting solutions such as Maldaba’s My Health Guide to areas of need within the system for the next year.”
